    Fort Carson, CO - In Processing

    All incoming personnel, LTC and below, must report to the U.S. Army Replacement Detachment and Fort Carson Welcome and Farewell Center regardless of direct unit of assignment. The Center, located in Bldg 1013 on the corner of Wetzel Avenue and Ellis Street, is open 24 hours per day. It is not necessary to report in uniform. You will receive an in-processing appointment after signing in. Allow two to four days to complete in-processing, depending on rank.

    Transportation:

    A Fort Carson shuttle is available from Colorado Springs Airport to the Reception Center by calling 719-526-6961. Soldiers are authorized to use local transportation, such as ride shares or taxis, and will be reimbursed; receipts are not required if under $75. Soldiers arriving to Denver International Airport who need directions or assistance should call the number above.

    Lodging:

    Unaccompanied Soldier lodging for E5s and below is provided at barracks building 1367.

    Accompanied Soldiers and E6 and above should make their own lodging arrangements. For housing options, call Housing Services Office at 719-725-8096 or 719-238-6458.

    When reporting for in-processing, be sure to carry assignment orders, leave forms, military/DOD identification, marriage certificates, immigration paperwork and passports, shot records, pet records, medical and dental records, and school records.
    Lodging at Billeted Building 1013 will be assigned while at the Detachment. In-processing typically takes about 5 days to complete, and soldiers must be in their duty uniforms to complete the process. For further information, call the Replacement Detachment at 1-800-279-1151.
